Annual Banquet

Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards banquet was a hit, honoring local businesses, volunteers, and organizations while introducing the new Chamber Board of Directors: President Courtney Tucker, Vice President Elizabeth Hawkins, Treasurer Jessica Mills, Secretary Eric Brummel, and member Helen Norman. Congratulations were extended to Parkview Heights for Business of the Year, Mike and Helen Norman for Volunteer of the Year, and Friends of the Library for Organization of the Year. The ceremony celebrated these contributions with a series of awards and a delicious dinner catered by Scipio Supper Club.

The Organization of the Year award is presented to a non-profit that is active and beneficial to the Garnett community.
The George Clasen Memorial Service award is presented to an individual or couple from the area who has/have shown exemplary service (as a volunteer) to the community through the Chamber or other local organizations
The Business of the Year award is presented to a Chamber member who has demonstrated outstanding business ethics, community support, leadership, friendly service, and ahs been an overall benefit to the community. (Must be in good standing, membership current)
